I haven’t used a Classic BlackBerry in over 10 years and have no idea which version would be closest to the 4.2 Symbian one I think best bet is to download the current Opera Mini 4.5 or 8.0 for BlackBerry from using your BlackBerry’s browser Or you could try downloading one of the old BlackBerry OS zip versions from this page to your PC and installing it with BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The BlacKBerry versions of Opera Mini are always going to be quite different than the Symbian ones you had on your N95. I’m don’t know much about Opera Mini for BlackBerry, but in the Java version of Opera Mini 4.x the version number is under Menu > Tools > Help > About.

I can understand Opera wanting users to be on the latest version, but when that version doesn’t work it’s nice to have the option to roll back to an older one. There’s a sticky on the forum with links to some old versions but it’s far from complete and doesn’t include beta versions or signed ones. On the there is a recurrent theme of users, trying a released version and insisting that one of older ones, was better. But for a few users, usually with old or obscure phones, the new version doesn’t work as well as the old one or work at all. They include bug fixes and often, new features. Opera Mini updates are usually a good thing.
